VM Snapshot Backup
A snapshot is a copy of a VM at a certain point in time. It captures the state, data, and hardware
configuration of a running VM. It provides a quick and easy way to backup and restore a VM to a
previous state. Having an easy way to revert a VM to a previous state is extremely handy when
performing risky tasks. For example, if you are applying an update or a patch to the software
running on your VM and you make a mistake, you can revert your VM to a previous working state
using a snapshot backup.
